Mumbai, May 12, 2011 Air Works India (Engineering) Pvt. Ltd, today announced the successful completion of extensive inspection on Hawker 800XP aircraft. The extensive check list included a four-yearly structural inspection, 12-yearly structural inspection, landing gear change, X-ray inspection and a 48-monthly inspection.
One of the leading providers of aviation engineering services in the country, Air Works carried out the checks under DGCA approval to perform these complex maintenance operations on the aircraft out of its Mumbai hangar.
Speaking on the occasion, Nick White, Vice President, General Aviation, said: "This is a great moment of pride for us. Air Works as a company has been undertaking heavy maintenance for Airbus A320, Boeing 737 NG/classic and the ATR family of aircraft under EASA, DGCA and GCAA approval. We are now enhancing capability in terms of tooling and trained manpower, which will enable us to undertake substantial complex checks at our hangars in New Delhi, Mumbai and Hosur, near Bengaluru."
With this, Air Works has further reiterated its position as a leader in the general aviation MRO market in the Indian sub continent. This is also a key step towards strengthening of Air Works heavy maintenance capabilities in the general aviation vertical which will provide its customers access to world class maintenance services in country and help them save on downtime of their aircraft.
